thereuare Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 The hotel above is a match for the Holiday Inn Market Square-Downtown so that would be our best guess. Thanks for using these HOTWIRE (or PRICELINE) links to begin your purchase.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. pdc1977 Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 Thanks for your response. I decided to bid on PRICELINE instead of using HOTWIRE. I got the 4* Marriott Riverwalk for $102.00. I started the bidding at $85.00 and using free rebids Priceline accepted the last bid at $102.00.I did use the PRICELINE link that you provided. Thanks for your assistance.
thereuare Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Congratulations on your win!Less than half price so looks like a very nice deal.Thank you for sharing it with the board and for using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. nahtg Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 wow, thats great that you got it at that price , but I am wondering if you got it because of how long you booked for? I offered that amount(and more), for 7/4-7/6 and got no where... any ideas?
thereuare Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 nahtg,Checking rates with the BetterChecker for each nite of the above stay shows the first nite, 7/3, is the least expensive nite of the three... bringing down the average cost of the three nite stay. Since the two nites you're looking for are the most expensive 2 nties of the this 3 nite stay, the average cost of your 2 nites is higher than the average cost of the above 3 nites... which would imply that you would need a higher bid as well (since on a nightlly basis the cost of your stay would be higher than the cost of the 3 nite stay above)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
