wendyb Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 We are wanting to stay at a 4* in ST. Louis 6-22 and 6-23. My question is this.....if I only bid for one night (using priceline) and like the property I get, can add an additional night at that cost or will I have to rebid? I like the ones that are closest to downtown and last time ended up with the property at Union Station, which was fine, but I prefer closer to arch, Busch stadium, etc. I would love to stay at the Westin, but have never ended up there with my bids.It would not be that inconvenient to switch hotels if I didn't particulary like my first win. Any advice?
thereuare Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 The 'extend your stay' feature is not always offered, and when it is, it doesn't guarantee that an additional nite is available at the property... you could try to extend and be told that no rooms are avaialble OR that rooms are only available at an additional cost.If you need help with a bidding strategy feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know what you end up with. wendyb Posted June 19, 2008 Author Report Posted June 19, 2008 I used the PRICELINE link last night and Priceline accepted my $50 bid for a 4* St. Louis (downtown) Hilton. We've stayed at this location before and love it. I was very pleased with the low price.2 nights @ $50 per night (6-22, 6-23)taxes & service fees $23.31total charges $123.31best 4* bid I've ever had accepted
