The 3.5* is a match for both the Hyatt Regency and the Sheraton Riverwalk so either of these are possibilities; however, of the two, best guess is that this is the Sheraton Riverwalk.

Unfortunatley the 2.5* has not yet been identified.

I've never used PRICELINE before and I am wondering what I could get in downtown Tampe for Oct. 24-25 that is at least 3 stars. If I place a bid do I have the same chance to recieve any of the pinned 3 star hotels on the list? How much should I start bidding at? Any advice would be helpful!!

If you bid on a PRICELINE there is no telling which 3* hotel you receive, one of the ones in the hotel list... or you could be the first to report a new hotel in this zone. (you could also be upgraded to a 4* hotel property if your bid is high enough that a 4* hotel is willing to accept it)

What is your maximum bid for this stay?

Rates are not high for this dates, and most 4* hotels in this zone are generally won between $75-$85; if you can increase your maximum bid to this level i think you would increase your chances of success. If rejected at $85 i would then sit it out for a few weeks.

Failed at $85, guess I'll just keep an eye out and wait a few weeks, thanks.

You should book a cancellable back-up in the meantime to protect yourself from rates going higher... just in case you don't success with PRICELINE at a later date.

I've attempted another bid of $60 in Downtown Tampa on Priceline for the above dates. Instead of the usual message I recieved one which said that if I increased my bid by $17 they would allow me to bid again without changing anything or waiting. Does this mean that at $77 I would win?

Yes, $77 should 'win', but you can also try to undercut the counter off by using your one re-bid zone. (assuming this was your first bid and you haven't yet used your one re-bid zone)

Just won the Sheraton RiverWalk Dowtown for $70 a night on PRICELINE. Cheaper then the $89 Hotwire was asking for the same hotel.
