chops Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Was hoping for the Hotel Galvez. I tried $70 and was rejected and then tried $75 the next night and it was accepted by the Hotel Galvez. This is the first hotel that I have recieved on PRICELINE that will not let me get two doubles in a room. I know that is the gamble when you use priceline but have not run into this problem yet. ON top of that all the reviews say the room is tiny. Looks like a great hotel but we will see how the kids fit in there also. Will give you an update next week on how it turned out. Happy to get this hotel at the price. We will see how it turns out.

Max72118 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 I was planning to bid with the Galvez in mind, but have one kid. Please let us know your experience.
chops Posted June 17, 2008 Author Report Posted June 17, 2008 I was able to upgrade at no cost thanks to Christi at the front desk. She was awesome. Received a room with two doubles. It was a life saver for us and the kids. The hotel was great. Nothing but props from us. The hotel pool and swim up bar was very nice and clean. We actually spent about three hours there with the kids after spending all day at Shclitterbahm. It was fun. The hotel is located right across the street from the beach and we spent the whole next morning there in the ocean. Great location and a nice beach. Another great time for the family. Nothing but good things. Would love to go back. They were going to give us a roll away to use if they did not get us into a double so if you have just one kid it would be no problem. Hope this helps. Also, I ran out of time on this and $75 was my first bid. I used what I saw from previous posts to go for that.
