Im trying to get a hotel in downtown PIT for 6/13-6/15, so two nights, a FRI and a SAT.

I have tried up to $75 for a 4*, $57 for a 3*, and $51 for a 2.5* and all bids have been rejected.

Is it because of the Fri and Sat nights? Should I try booking a Fri night separately and then see if I can use the "add a night" offer?

or what should I be offering to have a better chance at getting accepted?

Please help. thanks

and what about complimentary parking? That has to factor in. i assume priceline does not include complimentary parking passes. The Hilton for example charges $21.25 a night for parking.

I may start looking at hotels a little outside of town and just taxi into town. So Ill take advice on those as well.

I was at the Omni William Penn last year and on weekends, which your stay is, the parking garage across the street was only $5 (maybe it was $10?... i forget as we didn't have a car with us) on weekends. You may want to call the Omni and ask them the current weekend rate if parking directly at the garage across the street from their property (they were actually advising customers with cars to self-park there if they wanted OR they could pay the hotels' going rate which was substantially more)

My guess is that taxi fare will likely be more expensive than finding a public lot with a low weekend rate.

Let us know what you find out and how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.

Sorry for the late reply, but we ended up not getting the hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. There was a concert going on at Heinz Field that weekend and we ended up trying for a 2.5 star hotel in Mars, PA and go a Four Points By Sheraton Pittsburgh North for $41 a night. That hotel gave us a non-smoking, 2 queen room and we were very pleased with the hotel.
