rrzep1169 Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 Dear Members,I just recently posted a topic for help in both Vancouver and Toronto in September and I was unaware that it should be posted separately. Sorry about that:) So this is my dilemma...I'm staying in Toronto September 24-28. I have tried to bid for the last 5 days with different combinations and by re-bidding and have been unsuccessful. My last bid was roughly 10hours ago and this is how it looked...Bid $60 downtown...rejectedBid $65 downtown with a rezone in Brampton....rejectedBid $70 downtown with a rezone in Don Valley... rejected Closed BrowserBid $75 downtown with a rezone in Markam...rejectedBid $80 downtown with a rezone in Mississauga.. rejected Closed BrowserBid $85 downtown with a rezone in Oakville... rejectedBid $90 downtown with a rezone in Scarbo....rejected Closed browserBid $95 downtown with a rezone in Toronto West... RejectedI'm currently up to $120 with no accommodation. Am I missing something:))?An optimum bid would be in the downtown area in Toronto in a 4 star hotel for under $100 per night, however I'm willing to settle for around $120.My friends use this site as well as PRICELINE religiously and have landed great bids in Toronto (Sheraton Center, Delta Chelsea) for under $80. When I consulted with them they said that this is how they bid and never had a problem. The only difference is that I am staying for 4 nights (Wednesday to Sunday) and they usually only bid for two nights on the weekend.. Could these be true and pose such a problem?Any tips on what I can do? PLEASE HELP:((Cheers,Rad
thereuare Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 I'm currently up to $120 with no accommodationHOTWIRE (please use this link) is currently showing a 4* hotel in the Toronto Downtown West zone (HOTWIRE splits the Downtown region into East/West) with Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa for only $110/nite... less than you have already bid. Best guess is that this is the Sheraton Centre Toronto.Would this work for your needs? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
