hannastorm Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 The only 4.5* HOTEL in Ka'anapali that is listed on the main list shows that it is a "Customer Favorite" on HOTWIRE, but the 4.5* hotel they comes up for my dates (Dec 14-24) on HOTWIRE doe not indicate that it is a Customer Favorite. Any ideas? Here is the full list of amenities.ResortBeachfrontOceanfrontFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterLaundry FacilitiesHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesChildren's Activity ProgramIt also indicated that the hotel collects a fee of about $15 from guests. It is going for $324/night.Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 Customer Favorite desingations come and go... we have even seen them disappear/re-appear for the same property from search to search. The above is a match for the Hyatt Regency and that would be our best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. hannastorm Posted October 31, 2008 Author Report Posted October 31, 2008 Any advice on bidding for a resort in Maui from December 21st-24th? I know it will be a busy time and notice from looking at the hotel websites that the rates tend to increase as of the 22nd for the most part. Any suggestions on starting bids or when I should start bidding to get the best deal? Thanks!
thereuare Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 These dates are a sub-set of your previous Hotwire Maui request... have you changed the dates or have you made other plans for the first nites of your stay? If the latter, please follow-up the the other thread with whatever you decided to do for the beginning of your stay, then bump by letting us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. If you've shortened the stay we'll merge the two threads. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. hannastorm Posted October 31, 2008 Author Report Posted October 31, 2008 We ended up booking the first week of our trip in Maui at a timeshare. We got the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas North for 2k for 1 week. Now we are looking for a Resort in Maui - any area, for 12/21/08-12/24/08. Our maximum price is $175 per night. I want to use priceline rather than hotewire. We are shooting for no more than $600 for all three nights, including taxes and fees.Should we bid now or wait closer to our dates?
