thereuare Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid for this stay? Is there a reason you're avoiding PRICELINE's ESB zone?Would you be interested in the Hyatt (in Jersey City) for about half of what you've already bid? (PATH train to downtown in under 10 minutes... about 17 minutes to midtown)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. saripalli Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 Max bid is about $210; I was hoping to stay in the midtown area generally, thought ESB was a little south of where I want to be. (could be wrong on that). Prefer staying in the city.

saripalli Posted June 6, 2008 Author Report Posted June 6, 2008 Tried the strategy, but when I closed the browser and started again PL still remembered my prior bids. I tried a couple of times and it did the same thing.
thereuare Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 If followed correctly, none of the bids above would be treated as a duplicate bid (since they're not)What are you using as your re-bid zone(s)? saripalli Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 OOPS ... I didn't follow the strategy correctly. When I did, I got the Sheraton Hotel on 7th Avenue for $170. Thanks!I did use the betterbidding PRICELINE link, and plan to use it again in a couple of weeks for a LV trip I'm planning.
