olamers Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Hi, we're looking for a hotel in NY from June 30 to July 5. Right now we have a "back-up" booking made, but were wondering if we could do any better. As of right now, we have a reservation at the Wingate Manhattan Midtown for $228/night plus taxes. Do you have advise for us finding a cheaper hotel ($160-$180) in a centralized location for the full five days? We liked the midtown location because it appears you can get anywhere in the city quite easily, but would be open to other zones if they offer the same convenience. Also, where can we find a listing of four star hotels in each zone? Are there any zones that do not have 4* hotels (we've read a little about the re-bidding process, and it appears this info could be useful)? Thanks for your help.
