Priceline Hotel: 4* San Diego Downtown-Harbour bidding help 7/12-7/18

Hi

Have been bidding on these dates (6 nights) for a week and have gone up to $145. I dropped the 6th night when I noticed the usual hotels I got in the past i.e the Westin and Hyatt were booked that night. Even booking for 5 nights 7/12-7/17 (these nights were free in the otels I mentioned) didn't get any bites. Any ideas on what to go up to or should I try splitting my bids?

Any advice from you wise folks would be greatly appreciated.

It would be apprecaited if you shared your wins with the board... i'm sure your successes (and failures) would help other users.

HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel for your complete stay (7/12-7/18) for $146/nite (Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business). These amenities are common for a city hotel, but best guess is the Westin Gaslamp (previously the Westin Horton Plaza). Would this 4* HOTWIRE property work for your needs?
