flameboy54 Posted May 31, 2008 Author Report Posted May 31, 2008 I just recently won a bid for Monte Carlo in LV for $78/night and after winning, it got me wondering. For those that have used Priceline, especially for those that won with low prices, were you given a sub-par room that reflected the price? Since winning the bid, I have a hunch that the room that will be assigned to me will be on the north side where all the construction is going on for City Center. Has anyone used the $20 trick in LV in conjunction with their PL win successfully? Any info will help. Thanks!
thereuare Posted May 31, 2008 Report Posted May 31, 2008 The hotel will likely be more than half full, so somebody will be on the north side... those who booked directly thru the Monte Carlo will attribute it to the hotel being full... those who used PRICELINE and HOTWIRE will blame it on their low price. You can better your chances of getting the room you want by calling the hotel and putting in a request to be away from the construction side of the hotel, re-iterate your preference upon check-in, and tipping (as discussed in this Tipping and Priceline and Hotwire Hotels can't hurt either.Enjoy your stay.
