todd Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Sorry, I meant JUNE 6 and 7.Do you have suggestion on a good starting bid for a Brooklyn, NY hotel June 6 and June 7?
thereuare Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Quick question... do you need to be in Brooklyn, or are you looking for an inexpensive alternative to NYC?What is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. todd Posted June 1, 2008 Author Report Posted June 1, 2008 We would prefer to stay in Brooklyn this time, but would go into NYC if the price is right. Really looking to stay for under $150.I've now bookmarked this sites PRICELINE link.
thereuare Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Sorry, what is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept? Is you intention to commute into Manhattan daily or is this not a NYC-substitute? todd Posted June 1, 2008 Author Report Posted June 1, 2008 We would go two stars to get a better price. We are visiting my step-brother in Brooklyn that weekend, but would also stay in NYC and use the subway to get around. So far I've bid up to $125 for 3*, 2.5* and 2*, but no luck. I'm going to bid again, up to $150.Do you know if this is college graduation weekend in NYC?Thanks.Todd
thereuare Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Which Manhattan zones are you willing to accept?Which subway line is your step-brother located near?I don't know if there are any graduations taking place on these dates, but rates look "inline" with what i would expect this time of year (in Manhattan), so if there are any 'special events' taking place in the city they're probably not very big or affecting hotel rates too much. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. todd Posted June 2, 2008 Author Report Posted June 2, 2008 Hi, I ended up with the Howard Johnson's in Brooklyn for $135. It's not the Brooklyn location I preferred but the price is OK and we can step out and catch the bus to my step-brothers neighborhood.I won the bid using the PRICELINE link from this site and will post the details of my bidding later tonight. Thanks a lot. Todd
