Got this about two months in advance for a weekend trip. There were no 3* hotels on Priceline at this price, so this is definitely the best deal around at the moment:

Holiday Inn Reno-Downtown-Casino

1000 E. 6th St.

Reno, Nevada 89512

(775) 786-5151

Price: $54.00 x 2 nights + $19.25 = $127.25

Amenities: Casino, Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant

Prices elsewhere start at $71+tax.

I know it is a bit to late to warn you, but the Reno Holliday Inn is located in a seedy and deserted neighborhood and not at a walking distance from any point of interest. The so called casino is a dive patronized mostly by local pimps and drug dealers and their employees and customers.

I would have to agree with this observation. Grand Sierra/Peppermill/Atlantis are the same price for this upcoming JUne 6th weekend

We frequent Reno and agree - Do not stay at the Holiday Inn!

3* rating is complete BS. The 2.5* Sands Regency is much much nicer and also in downtown and only 2 blocks off the strip in a much nicer area. The Holiday Inn is about 8-10 blocks off the strip in a seedy neighborhood.

A "not recommended" warning should be added to the list of Reno Hotwire hotels based on all the negative reviews.
