I made my 1st Hotwire.com booking this afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn't know about this forum until talking to friend after booking. The info on this forum is amazing. Just thought I'll share the results of my booking anyway.

3.5-star hotel in Richmond - Vancouver Intl Airport YVR @$104 (Jun 2/08-Jun 3/08) = Hilton Vancouver Airport

Amenities listed: Airport Shuttle, Restaurant, Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center

lowest rate found on Hilton's website this afternoon = $175

Looks like the same hotel is listed as 4* in the Hotwire Canada Hotel List with the following amenities:

Shuttle, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed, Business, Tennis

Wonder if Hotwire.com changes the hotel amenities description to make it a bit more difficult to identify hotel?

Amenities shown can and do change for a variety of reasons... sometimes it's to keep users guessing, others times hotels want the business and purposefully keep the amenities stagnant (even when new icons could be added), and other times it coudl be due to user feedback or a change in offerings (ie- perhaps the Tennis courts refered to nearby closed down or, if public, are closed for repair... or maybe after a user complained the tennis courts are actaully xx minutes away and therefore not really "nearby")
