canucksfan Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 $95 a night!? :)I first selected MTW and bid $90 but was rejected,I then added MTE and raised my bid to $95 but my Canadian VISA card didn't work (non-US VISA cards aren't accepted at Priceline but I tried b/c I wanted the air mile points) so I used my MC and my bid was accepted!I don't have a US credit card so I thought I would have to pay at least 50% more on Hotwire for a 4/5* room.....that was before I saw the thread BIDDING FOR CANADIANS on the General Priceline Tips page and used the tips for non-USA bidders! Your advise on bidding strategies was also huge.I couldn't have done it without you guys. Thanks BetterBidding and everyone who posts here. Thanks for helping to make our first trip to New York extra special!
