You are not told a specific room type until arrival when you book via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, given the fact that you booked via a discount service and got a significantly lower rate than full price. If you do have basic requests (no smoking/smoking, higher floor), you can contact the hotel and while they will likely not guarantee the request, they should note them.
