gogators Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 We will be in New York from 7/1/08-7/6/08. I booked a room through Quickbook; the Desmond Tutu Center for $141.00. This reservation can be cancelled up to 24 hours before 7/1/08. This actually looks like a pretty decent hotel and I'm thinking of just sticking with this reservation. I've bid Priceline a few times; up to $150.00 for a 4*. Have you heard anything about this hotel?
thereuare Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! The hotel has been getting very good reviews... the biggest downside of the hotel is that it's a bit "out of the way" (still walkable to the subway but certainly not "in the action"). I have also read at last one report of varying room size throughout the property, so some have had very big rooms by NYC standards while others have had 'average' sized rooms. Other than these two things, the reports i have read have quite favorable. If you continue to bid please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links.Let us know if any change in your plans or if we can be of further help.
