TravelinMe Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Hi. I'm looking for a hotel for the night of Thurs 6/19/08 in MTE, MTW, or TS. I have a back-up reservation at the Time Hotel for $259 but I would really prefer to spend no more than $225 plus taxes. I tried this morning for a 4* in any of those areas bidding up to $225 with no luck. I would possibly consider a 3* but some of the reviews I read made me nervous (too off the beaten path). Do you think it's too soon? I'm open to suggestions for other areas to consider- safety and ease of transportation options are my top priorities- I'll be cramming in a bunch of meetings (mostly in Midtown, one in Chelsea) on this short trip and arriving and departing the city from Penn Station. I've been checking hotwire daily too for the past few weeks and their prices keep going up- I hope I haven't waited too long! I'm new to this so any and all advice is appreciated!
