Sciamano Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I was hoping for a 4* but bid up to $220 with no luck.Decided to settle for a 3* in MTE/MTW, so I bid $160 and received counteroffer of $25.Started the bid again, added UES, bid $170 and got the Club Quarters Midtown. Not really satisfied with this property due to what I could read on Tripadvisor, but I could not find any room for less, so...Rack Rate for those days on Club Quarters website is $245+taxCheck-In Date: Thursday, August 14, 2008Check-Out Date: Saturday, August 16, 2008Hotel Name: Club Quarters Midtown40 West 45th StreetNew York, New York 10036212-354-6400Your Offer Price: $170.00Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 2Subtotal: $340.00Taxes and Service Fees: $64.82Total Charges*: $404.82As always, I started the bid using the PRICELINE links on this site.
thereuare Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Thank you for sharing your win with the board. The reviews aren't terrible, i think you just need to be prepared for what Club Quarters properties offer: :basic accomodations". It may have been a bit early to lower your star quality, as summer is usually slow in the city, but hopefully this will ultimately work out for your two nite stay. Thanks for using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. Sciamano Posted May 20, 2008 Author Report Posted May 20, 2008 Yes it was probably too early to lower star quality...Anyway my parents don't need top of the line service. All they need is a comfy bed and a clean room to rest after a long day of walking around NYC.So I'm confident that the Club Quarters will be okay for them.
