Alien88 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I've been bidding for a couple of weeks with no luck so far. I was hoping as I got closer to the date, my chances might be better but not yet. I have a backup reservation at the Desmond Tutu Center for $199/night right now.I'd prefer to stay in MTW, TS, UM-CPS for no more than $225/night. Should I just keep trying and hope for the best? Thanks for your help/suggestions.

Alien88 Posted May 20, 2008 Author Report Posted May 20, 2008 Highest I've gone so far is to $225. Not any particular reason I've been avoiding MTE - I just wanted something more centrally located. Where in the world did the ES zone come from? I didn't see that one the other day!Oh, I forgot to mention I'm looking at 4* ones. Of course I'll do the bids using your PRICELINE link from now on!
thereuare Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Where in the world did the ES zone come from? I didn't see that one the other day!The MTS zone has been eliminated and sub-divided into three new zones (MSG, ESB, and Chelsea)Given that you have bid up to your limit there is not much more you can do other than continue to bid OR add others zones, but it's not clear if you wish to add the MTE and/or ESB zones to your bidding. If location is your objective, you may want to consider HOTWIRE which is currently offering a 4* hotel in the MTS zone (Restaurant, Hi-Speed Interent, Business) for $229/nite... best guess is the Carlton on Madison.Let us know your thoughts regarding either the HOTWIRE offer or adding the other zone(s) ot your bidding. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
