rove312 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 It had been a year, since I'd bid; now I'm getting the notice "We're sorry, but we can't accept your offer ..." Is this the standard wording now; didn't it use to be something like "We were unable to find a hotel that would accept..."? The change would make sense, since they weren't really asking hotels during the wait time, as might be implied.I ask because, if there was a mistake in entry of the credit card number, would they say that? I have a nagging doubt whether I entered it correctly, and the security code has a characteristic that people are discouraged from using when choosing their own code. On my first online purchase using that card, it was rejected, but I think I made a later online purchase on that card including the code.
thereuare Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 You would receive a different message if there was a problem with your credit card info. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
k.moz Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I got the same reply on a random bid but it never popped up again.
