I read afterward some bad reviews of this hotel but I am hoping they were because people had paid over $100 more a night then I am. I do not expect much just happy to be staying in DC so reasonably. I did read on the hotel website that they are undergoing a $13 million renovation to be completed by October so maybe we will luck out :) I added the Travel Insurance because we were enroute to DC 2 weeks ago when stopped by Pancreatis attack in South Hill, VA & spent 9 days there in their hospital instead :)Take Care,Lisa
scliq Posted June 15, 2004 Author Report Posted June 15, 2004 Added Notes:I just enrolled in the Hyatt Gold Passport Program then called the hotels & added it as well as my request for nonsmoking - double beds and had no problem at all adding the info to the reservation. Also he said the renovations have started and are making good progress. Will follow-up after our trip & let ya'll know!Take Care,Lisa
thereuare Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 Glad you decided to take the 'plunge' and give it a shot.I always read reviews with a grain of salt as i think you hit the nail right on the head. I have stayed at hotels via Priceline that i though were great based upon the price i paid.... but would have been extremely upset if i had paid 'conventional' rates.Hope the health situation is under control.
