Welcome to BetterBidding!

Congratulations on your win!

Odd how you were rejected for a 4* at $90 but then were upgraded and accepted at a 4* hotel when you bid the same amount at the 3* level. When you switched from 4* to 3* did you also add the Loop zone at this point (previously only bidding the NMA zone?) or were you including the Loop in your bidding all along?

Thank you for sharing your win with teh board and for using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding... a very nice deal. :)

Enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the welcome and congrats.

I was a bit surprised at getting the winning bid when I did. I thought I'd have to try it the day before my stay, when hotels would presumably scramble to fill empty rooms (maybe someone else can get it for even cheaper if they wait).

Only on the first bid did I bid two zones (Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park initially, then added Midway Airport). All subsequent bids were only for Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park. Unlike most bidders, seemingly, I didn't bid on River North-NMA because I'll need quick early-morning access to the Blue Line train during my stay.
