I first have to say that this site is great!!! I read so many posts to find out how to get a great deal on a hotel. My husband and I are coming to Chicago 5/16 - 5/19. I read about the huge conference this weekend so I wasn't sure if we would get a good deal in the city so friends recommended the Oak Brook area. We originally had a room booked at the Embassy Suites in Oak Brook for $141.55 per night. But after using advice on this site, I booked:

4* (Lombard - Oak brook - Downers Grove)

Amenities:

Fitness Center

Restaurants

Hi-Speed Internet Access

Tennis Nearby

Pool(s)

Business Center

Golf Nearby

Rate: $89 per night

From other posts, I thought this was The Hyatt Lodge at McDonald's Campus but it turned out to be The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center. And I used the HOTWIRE link from this site to book the hotel.

As a newbie myself, welcome to betterbidding.

What a great price. That's a brand new hotel with Harry Carry's restaurant attached. If you don't want to drive into Chicago you can take the commuter train (Metra) from the Hinsdale or Elmhurst stations.
