Hotwire Hotel: 2* Savannah (Historic District) River Inn

I booked a hotel in Savannah Historic District few days ago by Hotwire and I get the Savannah River Inn hotel as results. It makes me worry now because this hotel receives very terrible reviews on Tripadvisor. I was hoping for La Quinta but no luck. I wonder if Hotwire does actually check all the hotels time to time to make sure that the hotels sold in Hotwire are non problematic ones. I am waiting till my trip to Savannah in Oct.

You may add Savannah River Inn in the HOTWIRE hotel list. It is a pricy 2 star hotel. Paid $89 per night for October 2008.

Just booked a hotel in Savannah historic district.

Was hoping for La Quinta or Comfort Inn (due to pleasant experiences with these hotels)

Received Savannah River Inn instead.

It is for October 31 till November 02.

2 room x 2 pax.

2 star hotel at $89 per room per night

Total cost with tax $405.49

It is kinda pricy for a 2 star hotel. Never been to Savannah before so this will be our first time there.

Kind of worry about the hotel because it has been receiving bad reviews on Tripadvisor.

Anyone wish to share their experience of this hotel are definitely welcome.

I dont mind staying in 1 bad hotel for our 3 weeks USA trip (we are from Europe) but my in laws are joining us in this trip and this is their first USA trip!

I hope they will have a great USA experience.

Can you confirm if there was a Pool icon shown before your purchase... you can still view the amenities shown before your purchase by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link on the top right of their home page (and then clicking the MY TRIPS link)

The only icon shown for this hotel is the icon for Pool.

Further, there are no other amenities.
