Welcome to BetterBidding!

The above is a match for both Ballys and the Flamingo so either of these would be likely candidates. However, of the two, i believe the one you're seeing is the Flamingo and that would be our best guess.

I do not see the4 star south strip offered any longer (through your HOTWIRE link or otherwise.)

If the 3.5 star is Flamingo, it's not much lower than the price on their website. It must be a deluxe room and I would want to upgrade to a GO suite. Any comments appreciated. I am interested in Flamingo because I've read they have a great pool.

Not sure, but it would be their basic room (I believe) which is (rather stupidly) called a 'deluxe' room. We stayed at The Flamingo last year - the basic rooms were fine, but we upgraded to a GO Luxury room for the last three days (that's a GO room, with a view) and it was worth the money. However, it did cost us $27 per night to do so, booked via the front desk. You may be able to get it cheaper (I'm certainly going to try the '$20 trick' this year!), but that's something you have totake into account. We got a fantastic view of the Bellagio fountains, from the 22nd floor, by the way.

The pool area is superb - one of the top four in Vegas (I'd suggest). There are five diffferent pools in total, with a waterslide and waterfall area. It is surrounded by a wonderful wildlife habitat area, that is lovely to walk around when you want a little peace and quiet!

If you're not happy with the HOTWIRE rate offered than book it direct and/or look for alternate options. (and a reminder that if you're searching HOTWIRE for quad occupancy be sure to search for the same when comparing rates at other sites to make sure that you're doing an apples-to-apples comparison)

This is very helpful. Did you upgrade at the front desk when you arrived or before? Thanks.

Upon arrival - we had been to LA and come back for the final three days. As we checked in, I just asked if there were any upgrades available. The response was "Yes, but it will be $25 + tax". I tried to barter it down, but she wouldn't budge. As it was, a futher $27 per night for that room and that view was a good deal, we thought. I'm looking to do the same again this year (but will try the $20 trick first, most certainly!).

thereuare,

The original 3.5* center strip I asked about (probably Flamingo) is gone and there's a new deal:

3.5* Center Strip

$125/nt

hi spd internet

tennis nearby

Now what do you think I'm looking at?

Do you think Flamingo will put another offer on Hotwire again for these dates?

Should this be a new post?

Thanks.

I'm not currently seeing any 3.5* in the Center Strip zone on HOTWIRE for your dates.

HOTWIRE will only show the lowest price hotel at each star level in each zone, so if you're seing another property offered you would either need the original hotel (Flamingo) to lower it's price below the current offering, the current allotment of inventory for the current hotel to get sold, or have the current hotel pull/raise their offering price.

What is it that you're looking for from this stay and what is your nightly budget?

You are right. That listing is gone now.

I was hoping to be Center Strip, 3.5* or up for <$150/nt. 2nd choice would be 4*, south strip.

I am more interested in a great pool and less in casino for a visit with my sister.

Thanks for your ongoing help.

OK. Through your HOTWIRE link there is now a $129/nt rate for central strip 3.5*.

It has:

casino

fitness

pool

retaurant

biz ctr

hi spd internet

near golf

near fitness

No spa--so I assume it's not Flamingo. Who do you think it is?

Thanks again.
