thereuare
BELKIN WIRELESS ROUTER available for $60 less $50 mail in rebate = $10 (and free shipping)This is the 802.11b technology but is fine for most home/small office wireless environments. New technology is 802.11g which i believe has the same wireless range but can transport data faster. HOWEVER, most users won't notice any difference in speed when surfing the web or doing most other computer tasks... i recommend this older technology (because it's cheaper) for all users execept those that download very large files.See this previous discusion if you need to know what a WIRELESS ROUTER is and how it fits into a wireless system (and then ask questions in this thread). cityfishing
Thanks for the tip. Got mine yesterday and I'm surfing wirelessly now. Belkin Tech Support is really bad. They couldn't figure out how to connect this router up to my existing wired Linksys router. Finally figured it out myself. Link to comment
thereuare
Been there.... done that.I think the trick is to plug the Cat5 cable from the router into a port of the wireless... and not the internet/lan/wan input.
