Goggles Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 Hi,Love this site...have tried the re-bidding strategy once already for 4* all Mid-Town locations...no wins up to $200...does my chances improve as we get closer to the actual date I want? Should I consider spliting up the 4 nights? Thanks in advance for the help!
thereuare Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!...does my chances improve as we get closer to the actual date I want?See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.Should I consider spliting up the 4 nights?I think this will likely help, but i'll also ask if you'd be interested in staying in Jersey City near a PATH train which would have you into Downtown Manhattan in under 10 minutes or midtown in 20 minutes. Staying hear you miss out on the "nyc vibe" but it is convenient to the city and can be had for about half the price of Manhattan.Let us know your thoughts and/or how it goes. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Goggles Posted May 10, 2008 Author Report Posted May 10, 2008 Thanks for the reply...FAQ helped! As for staying in Jersey, since this is the first time visiting NYC, I think we would prefer staying somewhere near 'the action'...but I realize that means more $$$$...Since it is still over a month away, I'll keep trying the bidding and see what happens...and I will continue using your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links...Thanks again for the help - especially considering I'm a Buckeyes and Fighting Irish fan... :)

Goggles Posted May 15, 2008 Author Report Posted May 15, 2008 Successful bid! My bid was accepted at $215 for the Millennium Broadway Hotel. The reviews are mixed but overall I think this is a good win...wish it were a little cheaper but it's NYC after all...and I like that this will be in the middle of the action. Thanks again for the help...I used the PRICELINE link for my purchase!
