TravelFish Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 I started my bidding at $135 in UM-CPS. I added ME and went to $140. My bid was accepted at $140 for the Millenium UN Plaza. This was a mistake, I was going for the Hudson Hotel which looked like a possibility for that date. Millenium UN is too far out for my taste.... :*(

TravelFish Posted May 8, 2008 Author Report Posted May 8, 2008 I don't think I want this hotel. What does non-transferable mean? Can I check in with somebody else and add them to the room?
thereuare Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Non-transferable means exactly that... you own it and can't transfer to somebody else.If you're talking about giving it to a friend i'm sure you could check-in with them and noboby would be any of the wiser (although technically a 'grey' area and possibly against the terms of your purchase), but if you're thinking about trying to re-sell to a stranger (this would certainly be against the terms of your purchase and) i wouldn't recommend it... if something goes wrong (they get into a fight, trash the room, steal something, cause a fire, etc, etc) you could be on the hook and it just isn't worth it (imo). For a one nite stay does the location really matter that much... the property gets pretty good reviews, isn't really that inconvenient, and i'd sooner spend a little extra money on cab fare than 'eat' this reservation.
