I started out bidding $53 for a 3* in Redondo-Manhattan Beaches. Was rejected & prompted to raise bid by $15 and try again. Instead I added Lawndale as a free rebid zone and tried $55. Flat out rejected.

I started over again and tried $56 for Redondo-Manhattan & Santa Monica-Marina del Rey (I consider it a "free" rebid zone at that price level). Rejected & prompted to raise bid by $17. Instead I add Lawndale and bumped up the bid to $57. Accepted. Came to $72.49 with taxes. Lowest price on hotel's site was $159. Yay! I was targeting this hotel as I like the location.
