brgates Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 :) I have noticed that on the review page after entering your bid for a hotel room,, but before finalizing PL adds in the taxes they paid for the hotel along with their service charge. I was wondering if you can find the hotel tax rate for that city, couldn't you then figure out what PL paid for the room?
thereuare Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 Welcome to BetterBidding! As per WHY POST YOUR TAXES it used to be possible, but since PRICELINE COMBINES TAXES AND FEES it is now no longer possible. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
holtju2 Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 Often you are able to see the Priceline's rate when checking in to the hotel. I half of the cases when I have been on my Hyatt mattress run the Priceline rate has been displayed either on the paper that I sign in when checking in or in the hotel's video checkout system. It seems that if my bid has been accepted at the Priceline's rate rounded up to the next full dollar the Priceline's processing fee is still approximately $6.You can always argue that you have right to know the EXACT amount of taxes paid.
