gcycheun Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 I've tried bidding for priceline Midtown East and Times Square for 12/13/08 - 12/18/08 at $200 a night and got rejected. Am I looking too early? or is my price just too low? Thank you.
thereuare Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm guessing that you're probably bidding too early, and based upon historical pricing, i'm guessing too low as well.Is there a reason you're only bidding MTE and TS... are there hotels you're trying to avoid in the other zone(s)?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. gcycheun Posted May 3, 2008 Author Report Posted May 3, 2008 Thanks for the quick reply, as always I am using those links on these forums to make my bids.I looked at last year and they went around $160-$220 but I will try to up to $220 and if it fails I'll just wait a little longer. No I'm not trying to avoid MTW but most of the sites we want to visit are closer to those other two districts. Not really sure what the additional travel distance would be though.
thereuare Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Not really sure what the additional travel distance would be though.Likely wouldn't be much distance, but if you give example(s) of what sites you're refering to we can comment further.Chances are you'll be taking mass transit to most sites and <hopefully> purchasing an unlimited metrocard, so most midtown zones typically work out fine for the average visitor.
