genxdavy Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 Tried bidding and rebidding up to $210 for the 3 night stay but didn't get accepted. Any tips? Considering some of the winning bids I'm seeing on here I am suprised my bids were rejected.
thereuare Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please clarify:-are you bidding the North Strip zone?-is your check-in/check-out 10/17-10/20 (which would be a 3 nite stay as per your message above, current topic titel reflects a 2 nite stay)Let us know and we'll take a look at the particulars of this trip. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. genxdavy Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 Sorry for the confusion. North strip and stay is 10/17-10/20 (check in on 17th and check out on 20th).
thereuare Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Current rates at the Venetian are $350/nite and they're $379/nite at teh Palazzo... these arent' rates where we typcially see $200 bids accepted as these properties usually discount less as rates go higher (as they figure they can likely sell rooms on their own). As well, since Vegas is a 'destination city', it's probably a little early for this property to be discounting too deeply.October is still very far away and rates in Vegas change often and quickly, so i'd continue to try, but you'll likely need to see rates drop somewhat to have a chance at the $200 level. How high are you willing to bid for a 5 star? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. genxdavy Posted October 3, 2008 Author Report Posted October 3, 2008 Hi there, Any advice for getting a 5* on the strip for the dates of 10/16-10/19? This will be my frist trip to Vegas and don't really want the Trump since there is no casino on the property.
thereuare Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. If you use PRICELINE you're subject to any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you select. If there is a property you're trying to target, or avoid, HOTWIRE can often be a better option. (assuming you can identify the hotel you're seeking OR confirm that it's not the hotel you're trying to avoid)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
