Daryl Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 Hi, first time and I am going to audition for who wants to be a millionaire and am flying into LGA. I am coming in on 05/20/2008 and leaving 6:00am on 05/21/2008. Is it better to stay by airport or midtown. I also need to know how to get from airport to midtown and back. Thanks
thereuare Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! Will you have any time to explore the city or will the audition take all day? Do you know if the audtition will an all day affair, just a few hours, or will you be excused for a period of time and need to return to the audtion a few hours later? What is your budget? What type of star rated hotel are you looking for?If you let us know the above we'll be able to advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Daryl Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 I will arrive about 12:00 and have to be at audition at 6:30 pm. I am on a tight budget so the cheaper the better. Thanks
thereuare Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 It sounds as if you won't really have much time at all to explore the city... and if budget is tight, staying by the Airport would probably be your least expensive option. (NOTE: for those looking for a 'touristy' vacation and looking to stay multiple nites and touring NYC, we do not recommend staying by the airport)If you need help with a specific bidding strategy let us know your minimum star rating and maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 What is your maximum bid?PS- i really wouldn't bid below 2.5* in this area... preferably 3*, but it's your stay and your budget Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Daryl Posted May 3, 2008 Author Report Posted May 3, 2008 Thanks for the reply. I would like to stay around 80.00 so what ever you think for lga area. Thanks
thereuare Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Is it ok to us Manhattan midtown zones as 'pseudo' re-bid zones? While i don't think you'll be successful in Manhattan at that price, i suppose it is possible. so you'd be fine if you ended up in Manhattan as well?
