Priceline Hotel: 5* North & South Strip Help - I bid high w/ no luck (5/22 - 5/26)

I tried to bid (multiple times) on priceline today - by clearing my browser cache it allowed me to bid 5 times w/o stopping me.

I started low, but my final bid was $180 for a 5* on North or South strip. It was rejected, as were the others. They offered me $273/night which is more than the Venetian ($260/night) they give you on the main page before you try to name your own price.

Any advice? I felt that $180 would be doable given what I have read on this board.

I tried 200 for 5/24-26.. didn't take.

i would assume that 5/22-5/24 are probably around 180, and 5/24-/526 is probably closer to $240...

maybe try 200-220 range if you really want it.

I tried bidding up to $190 and decided to go to a vacation rental website and rent from an individual instead.
