HOTWIRE is currently offering $96 per night for this property (Sat-Wed over Labor Day weekend). Hotel site if offering $142.50 per night average for this stay for its "strip view" room (which is what I gather you would be defaulted into as a HOTWIRE user). I understand that there is a $20 per night "resort fee" tacked on at checkout. $116 (net) per night is not too bad but I was just wondering what your thoughts would be about the price creeping down as things get closer (I see others got this hotel for as low as $69 per night over Memorial Day weekend). Thanks for all of your great advice.

yam Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 That is a decent rate. The saturday night stay might have made that rate a little higher, though. Have you checked the rate for the Sun-wed? If there is a big difference ( I doubt it, though)then I would consider splitting my stay.
baaman Posted April 30, 2008 Author Report Posted April 30, 2008 So, your advice to remove the Saturday Night from the Sat-Wed stay in order to reduce the average rate on Hotwire seemed to make sense. However, I did that and the rate actually went UP! So, I then just tried for the Saturday - Monday portion of the stay (Sat/Sun Nights of Labor Day weekend). To my amazement, the offer actually went down to $86 a night, which I gladly accepted for a great deal at this property (which is currently quoting an average of $145 per nite for the "strip view" room). I have a cancellable reservation at the JW Marriott as a back-up for the last 2 days of the stay (which I may keep to compare the 2 resorts). Thanks for all of your assistance (and sorry, but I do not how to change the dates / prices in the title). And yes, I used the HOTWIRE link to book the room.
