Priceline Hotel: 3* Charlottesville Doubletree

Started at betterbidding.com and used PRICELINE link.

Tried 3* at $50 for May 24-25, however I was rejected. Any idea what this area usually goes for?

It said 3* was the best deal.

If you enter "Charlottesville" (w/o the quotes) in the QUICK SEARCH box at the top of the board you will see all wins for this zone.

Usually $50 is enough, but it can sometimes take a little more... i would try up to $60 over the next few days before taking a break for a week or so. (assuming this is within your budget)

Tried today for $55, and was rejected once again for a 3*. May try a little lower for a 2.5* later today or tomorrow. Why does waiting a week help? Hotels lower prices closer to the date?

As I mentioned in my Charlottesville Priceline post, I've been trying these same dates for a few weeks. It seems like a 3* is going to be considerably higher than $50.

Waiting a week doesn't necessarily help, but it gives you an oportunity to take a break and hopefully have some lower priced inventory loaded into the system

Tried Last week for a hotel in this area for Memorial Day Weekend, and was rejected at $50 and $60. Used PRICELINE Link on betterbidding.com and today I won this hotel. Hopefully it will be nice. Thanks again for helping me get this deal!
