Warlock! Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I searched HOTWIRE for a hotel in Naples, FL for 6/11 - 6/12, two adults, no kids, and got this at the top of the results:4-star hotel in NaplesAmenities-Suite-near beach-fitness center-pool(s)-restaurant(s)-business center-laundry facilities-high speed internet-golf nearby-tennis nearby-kitchenetteAny ideas? Also, I'm actually traveling with my wife and 3 kids, so a suite is a must. However, this hotel doesn't show up if I put in 2 adults and two (the max) kids. Has anyone run into any problems by having children stay at the hotel when it's booked without them? Thanks for the helpMattDoh! I forgot to include it came up as $102... heckuva deal for a 4*
thereuare Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Has anyone run into any problems by having children stay at the hotel when it's booked without them?Yes, it's a risk, and the more children (or adults) you have over double occupancy the greater the risk becomes. Many hotels, when booked conventionally, charge extra for occupancy for more than two, so you could face additional charges at check-in if you are more than double occupancy and that is all you included on your HOTWIRE search. As well, many hotel rooms are only designed for up to quad occupancy (often fire code prevents more than quad occupancy), and while i don't know of anyone yet denied a room, the hotel would be within thier right to do so.
