Priceline Hotel: 3* Ft Wayne Hilton

Used BB link to access PRICELINE.

With this hotel as the target, the only Priceline 3* in Ft Wayne (FW) and Ft Wayne South (FWS) areas:

Bid $37 for 3* in FW for Thurs. 4/24 thru Sat. nite, rejected.

Changed dates to Fri.-Sat. only (due to lower weekend rates advertised) bid $37 again, rejected.

Logged out, came in again thru BB link, added FWS area (no 3*), bid $42, 3* for Thur. thru Sat. nites, rejected, but was offered free rebid if I would raise bid by $12/night, which I declined to do.

Instead dropped Thurs. nite again from bid, raised to $45, 3* again , accepted with opportunity for free bid at same rate for 1-2 additional nights at either end.

Took that opportunity and won Thursday also at $45 (although actually total charge was $3.34 higher on a per night basis than Fri-Sat because PL charged a second fee for the additional night res.) But this was equivalent to getting the three nites at $46 each rather than the $54 I would have had to bid if I had taken PL's free rebid offer.

Total charges $58.79 for Thurs., $110.90 for Fri and Sat together.
