We are sailing on the Caribbean Princess cruise August 21-28, and wanted a FLL hotel 2 nights post cruise. Started bidding at $35 on FLL downtown 3*--rejected. Added Miramar for $40, and P.Beach for $45 as my free rebids, both rejected. Added FLL beach for $50 thinking there isn't any beach hotel for $50 and got the Holiday Inn Beach! At first I was bummed since we were hoping for the Downtown Embassy suites because of the extra room and free breakfast. But when i posted on a cruise forum, lots of people said we got a good deal, that the hotel is decent and close to shops, water taxi and of course, the beach (its across the street), so now, we're pleased.
