cemurdough Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Can you help me with a strategy for getting a resort for this weekend?I will be traveling with my 4 year old, by myself, so I don't want to get too far away from easy shuttle transport to the parks. I would like a Resort level property, and $100 plus is fine - anything is better than the $300 rate at the Swan/Dolphin.I think Downtown Disney would be ok, but I'm unsure how to zone in on this particular area. Thanks for the help.
thereuare Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!I don't want to get too far away from easy shuttle transport to the parksYour hotel can be anywhere within the shanded region of the zone... are you willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the zone(s) you bid?I think Downtown Disney would be ok, but I'm unsure how to zone in on this particular area.Which zone(s), by PRICELINE name, are you willing ot accept? Are your dates 4/18-4/20?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know the above and we'll take it from there. cemurdough Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 My apologies, my first time posting a thread, I should have probably put it on the hotwire.I think that hotwire will probably get me closer to where I want to be?I'm thinking just 4/17-18, but I want Downtown Disney - I will not have a car. If I were to bid on Priceline, there's a chance I would get something further away, am I understanding that right? I don't think the Cypress or Omni are in the DD area. Thanks
thereuare Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Go to PRICELINE and see the boundaries for the WDW zone... can you accept a hotel anywhere within the shaded region which makes up the boundary?Go to HOTWIRE, can you accept a hotel anywhere within the boundary of the Downtown (-Lake Buena Vista) zone?If neither of the above are acceptable, HOTWIRE may still be an option if you're willing to accept some risk as you can often take an educated guess as to the property you will receive based upon the star rating and amenities.Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.
