4* is Sandos Playacar Beach Resort.

I agree that the 4* is a match for the Sandos Playacar and that would be our best guess. The 3.5* has not yet been identified.

Just booked HOTWIRE 3 rooms at the Sandos Playacar for $117/$118 a night (it went up to $118 after I booked 1 room). 6.25.08-7.1.08 6 nites in Playa Del Carmen. I booked 2 rooms to have one adult and one child in each. I booked one room just with 2 adults. one million thanks for helping me identifying it. Yesterday the price was $171 and today it dropped to 117..why? How can that happen? (not complaining just asking).

The price could have dropped for any one of a variety of reasons, but the most likely scenario is that occupancy is lower than they hope at this point in time (could have received cancellation of a large block of rooms, block of rooms which were being held were released, etc)
