thereuare Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Congratulations on your win!The Hilton Suites was a 4* hotel before the change in ownership so the structure itself should remain of high quality. I'm not sure when the change took place, but often the staff stays on for awhile as well (until they can find new jobs if they don't like the new owners) so hopefully the service levels with be on par as well.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and for starting your bids with our PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay. Hotel is showing some wear, mainly in the rooms - older carpeting and furnishings. Likely why it went independent, especially with the newer Hilton less than a mile away across 635. Evelyn & Crabtree amenities in the bath with body wash & 2 soaps. Starbucks coffee. Bedding was quite comfortable. Lobby & common areas are fresh, clean and appealing. VERY spacious - two completely separate room over 800 square feet. Free internet w/decent high speed connection, $6 parking w/ in-out. Good size indoor pool on lower level - very heavy chlorine. Fitness room from the 80's. Channel selection sub-par but the fridge/microwave are nice. Friendly, eager to please staff. The open air, being able to see all floors, is always a distinctive quality. All things considered, a very strong 3*. Most important thing I've always felt is to determine what are the priorities for you as a traveller and go from there. There are many tremendous values in the marketplace now.
