lclprettymama Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I won this on the first try: Hilton Anaheim (check in 5-11-08 check out 5/12/08) $47 a night. Hilton's web site shows $139 for that date and it also looks like (judging by the amenities) HOTWIRE has it for $79 the same night. So I am thrilled I chose PRICELINE! What a great deal!!!!after a slight change of plans I did try to extend my stay with a check in the night before (5/10/08) and was not able to. I also tried another bid 3* adding Anaheim hills and $50 and was not accepted. Hotwire doesn't show the hotel with these amenities for the may 10th, so I am guessing that priceline might not have the Hilton for that night it at all either? It is Mother's day weekend and I am taking my mom to Disneyland. I decided I would really like to stay the additional night but I don't really want to change hotels. How likely am I to get the same hotel at a higher price on priceline or should I just book with the hotel and pay full price?

lclprettymama Posted April 13, 2008 Author Report Posted April 13, 2008 Okay so I got gutsy and decided to try my luck bidding again hoping to get the Hilton Anaheim for the other night. 1st bid- added Laguna Beach $52- rejected2nd bid- added Laguna Hills $54- accepted!!! I am so glad it worked out! I used a tip I had read on this site about placing more than 1 bid in 24hrs by adding areas that don't have hotels with the *rating I am biding on. Thank you so much!
