tonyplaysbass Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Doing a roadie to a few baseball stadiums, so I wanted to stay Downtown in Pittsburgh. 3 stars were tempting, but figured I'd try the 5 free bids on the two 4 stars listed (no rennaisance avail??). Lowest listed room price was 268 for either, started out with an $80 bid which was not accepted. Upped it to $90 and got the Omni William Penn, which was what I was hoping for after reading reviews. This was my...well, technically second priceline experience as I also used the bidding for my two nights in Cincinnati prior to Pittsburgh. I was hesitent, but getting better hotels then I would have stayed at otherwise, and also saved a couple hundred dollars. Got the omni for half the cost per night then I was going to spend on a 2/5* hotel with AAA. Unless something goes terribly wrong how can I complain? :) :)
thereuare Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win. I stayed here about a year ago and it's a very nice property... it's old (in the historic sense) so a lot of the infrastructure (like the HVAC system) is antiquated, but it all functions and the property is well maintained. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.PS- can you please add your Cincinnati win to the board as well, thanks!
