fivehole Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Just booked trip to Toronto (Downtown) 4* for $63 nt. from 4/17 thru 4/20 at the Toronto Hilton. This is my first time using Priceline so I was a little unsure how the process worked. I was a little let down in that my first bid of $56 was rejected and then I went to enter in a higher bid and it asked that I change my star criteria or dates or else wait 24 hours. Not sure if this tip is widespread but my way around this was to look at the other areas that came up and look for those that had no 4* properties listed (e.g. East Toronto highest is 3*). I then added this location along with my original location of Downtown Toronto and left my star level at 4* and incremented my bid. This worked and I was able to get my bid accepted at $64. You can keep doing this to allow from what I could find at least 7 tries within 24hours for Toronto possibly even more if it does not see combinations of three as the same combinations of two individually (e.g. Area1+Area2 & Area1+Area3 if priceline sees this the same as Area1+Area2+Area3) If not even more options. :)
