mikemarsh76 Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Hey everybody, newbie here. I'm looking for a hotel in Colorado Springs (North) checking in May 22 and checking out May 26. I'm flexible on the night of the 25th, as I'm flying out of COS Airport early that day, so the 4th night could be World Arena / Airport / South. I really don't care about price as long as I'm getting a good deal. Not sure if anyone can help me, but if more information is necessary I'd be more than happy to spark up a conversation with somebody. Thanks!!
jostuckey Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Depending on how much time / trouble you want in playing with Priceline bids ..You may want to check out HOTWIRE ( which is easier ), if you don't care which hotel you may get. There is a 2.5* in North Colorado Springs for the 4 nights you mentioned for $119/night + tax. There is a 3* in Colorado Springs airport for $76/night + tax.I would try to stay away from the 2* in Colorado Springs as I got Econ Lodge ( from Priceline/Hotwire ) a few years back and it was pretty bad.You may want to read about these bidding tips in the forumGeneral Hotwire TipsGeneral Priceline TipsPls use this link if you plan to bid on PRICELINE and post a new topic if your bid got accepted.Good luck !!
mikemarsh76 Posted April 21, 2008 Author Report Posted April 21, 2008 I ended up breaking my nights up, got the 2.5* COS North (Suite) on 5/22 and 5/23, ended up being Towneplace Suites, for $53 per night. I believe this was going for $96 on their website. For 5/24 I just booked Embassy Suites directly for $119. No AAA discount available =(5/25 I am moving on down to World Arena for the 3* $69 deal. Pretty sure this is Doubletree but who knows, thought my 2.5* suite COS North was going to be Homewood Suites by Hilton.Actually this worked out great, I have a nice place for my 1st 2 nights, a great place the 3rd night for a graduation afterparty, and a nice place closer to the airport for my return flight Monday. Thanks for the feedback!!MIKE
