Mitten1011 Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I've been trying to get a room for 5/31-6/3. I've tried 4* and 3*. The last price I got up to was $82. I was hoping to get a room for less than $100. Am I wasting my time??

Mitten1011 Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 I would like to get the cheapest price for a three star. I saw that people were getting 3* hotels for the same area between $60-$80. I just haven't had any luck. The cheapest I've seen through Better Checker was $159 and it wasn't right in Boston. $100 is really the most I can afford to spend per night. Thanks so much for your help. :)
thereuare Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 When bidding 3* in Boston you have three re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* Copley-Theater...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE.Select 3* Copley-Theater and re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE.Select 3* Copley-Theater and re-bid zone3...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $90, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE.Select 3* Copley-Theater and re-bid zone2 and re-bid zone3...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $100Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. crazycat52 Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Hi there.I'm looking for basically the same thing with slightly different dates, (3* or 4* in Copely or Quincy 5/22-5-25) so I didn't feel it neccessary to start a new thread. I've been following the site for a while now, bidding and rebidding etc for a few weeks with no luck.My question is: what does "Close browser and use our link to re-access" do? Does it negate the 24 hour wait period and allow to keep bidding, even when I'm already using the links here to bid in the first place? Also, does the fact that I need 2 rooms make a significant difference? Thanks.Molly

Mitten1011 Posted April 14, 2008 Author Report Posted April 14, 2008 I'm not really sure what to do. I really thought I would get something. I def. don't want to raise my bid. Am I being unrealistic trying to get a room for less than $100 or should I keep trying?
