jeff blake Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Ok me and my wife went here last year for our anniversary and stayed at the doubletree shamburg for 90 a night. I am looking for that specific hotel or any nice hotel downtown and I want to spend less than 65 a night on a room. going may 16th-18th or 23rd-26th either is fine. I just would like some help on this if possible. I can do a really cheap hotel as well we really only need a place to sleep, but I prefer that we are safe. Any help would be much appreciated.
thereuare Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm i'm understanding your correct, you would like:1) only the Doubletree Schaumburg or2) any 3* or higher Downtown hotelIs that correct? If so, you can't bid on a specific property, so if you're looking to use PRICELINE that is probably not an option. If you're looking for any 3* or higher hotel and would like to bid on PRICELINE, let us know:-which PRICELINE zones you're willing to accept (are both NMA and Loop acceptable... any others?)-are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3* (if both were within your budget) or is the least expenisve 3* or better hotel your ultimate goal-do you have a date preference... as one set above is for 2 nites while the other is for 3 nites-are you ready to commit to a non-refundable purchase at this point in timePlease use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly. jeff blake Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 Anything in a decent part of town. Cheapest would be best.
AaronJB Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 There's no way you'll find anything downtown on 5/16-18, as I believe that's when the National Restaurant Association - a very large convention - is occuring.$65 is going to be very difficult for downtown Chicago in May. It'd be very easy to get a hotel for less in the burbs.
thereuare Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 jeff blake,Given AaronJB's comments let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed, as it sounded to me the only hotel in the suburbs you were interested in is the Doubletree, and you wont' be able to limit yourself to that particular hotel when using the opaque suppliers.
