rocker2204 Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 Hi,I am planning my visit to Las Vegas on the 14-16 May and searched Hotwire am getting Red Rock For $89 + taxes. What should i do. My first Visit. I also bid on priceline and getting Convention Center - Unlv Area, Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North, Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South 4* hopefully hilton for $101 plus taxes. Very confused!!! Is there a chance of winning a 4* on strip for less. Also i am visit Anaheim, Ca on the 16-19 May. Hotwire is offering this3-star hotel in Anaheim - Disneyland South SomkefreeComplimentary BreakfastPoolsLaundryInternetNote: This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about $10 per room per night directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire
thereuare Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please use separate threads for each stay... we'll use this thread for your Vegas stay and please start a NEW TOPIC (in the California Orange County section of the board) for your Disneyland stay. For Vegas...What should i do. My first Visit. If you intend on doing the 'typical' Vegas stuff i would recommend stayingon the strip. If you will have a car you could stay at a resort off-strip, but i woudn't recommend it for a first trip to Vegas unless you're going for the Resort itself and not necessarily 'seeing' and 'experiencing' Vegas. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts regarding our comments above and we'll try to advise accordingly. rocker2204 Posted April 7, 2008 Author Report Posted April 7, 2008 Thanks for such a quick response. Now through priceline this is what is being offered to me: Convention Center - Unlv Area, Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North, Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South 4* hopefully hilton for $101 plus taxes. Very confused!!! Is there a chance of winning a 4* on strip for less.Should i go for it. Also Hooters hotel and Casino is also offering cheap price what do you suggest.
thereuare Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 PRICELINE doesn't offer any hotels... do you mean HOTWIRE?What are the amenities associated with the hotel you're being offered? The Hilton is not on the strip.Ultimately, what is your goal. minimum star rating, and maximum budget. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
rocker2204 Posted April 7, 2008 Author Report Posted April 7, 2008 ACTUALLY ITS A COUNTER OFFER BY PRICELINE. AND AFTER SEARCHING ON NET I THINK ITS HILTON AT VEGAS. I AM NOT SURE YOU KNOW BETTER.WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IS GOOD DEAL IF I CAN GET A DECENT 4* IN $65-70 DEAL I WILL TAKE IT OR ELSE I WILL ENJOY THE REST OF THE AMOUNT GAMBLING AND DONT WORRY MUCH ABOUT STAR RATING.
thereuare Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 The counter-offer is for $101 but you state that you would like to cap your maximum at $70? I do think you can probably get something on the strip for $100 or less (bid amount... not including fees or taxes).Again, if this is your first trip and you're not familiar with Las Vegas, i highly recommend staying on the strip (although Hooters isn't too far off the strip) and at a decent property.
